Furnace (BM-267) 1610+/-150 BP; AD 79-673
Pottery finds were scanty and were identified as first century, spanning the conquest date of AD 43. A fourth-century date was obtained from radiocarbon analysis of charcoal from the site, but the pottery dating has been preferred.

Site Description:
|
This site produced on excavation a small slag and refuse dump flanking a very well-preserved specimen of a domed smelting furnace.
